Kissan Dost Scheme (KDS) has been launched with immediate effect on concessional rate of mark-up for financing crop production loans, (seed, fertilizer, pesticides & other etc.). The financing would be for one season crops i.e. either Rabi or Kharif.
| Eligibility Criteria: |
- 1. All new borrowers of production loans under Farm Credit would be financed under this scheme.
- ORR shall be applicable as per existing policy of the Bank. v) Defaulters of production/development loan(s) or of any other bank(s) are debarred to avail loan under this scheme.
- eCIB will be obtained as per standing instructions of the Bank

| Sanction of Loans: |
- The loans would be sanctioned/disbursed in respective season i.e. for Rabi Crops Inputs from 1st October to 31st March and for Kharif Crops Inputs from 1st April to 30th September each year.
- The loan would be sanctioned to the borrowers against securities acceptable to the Bank under and outside Pass Book System including surety as per standing instructions of the Bank.
- The loan to the old borrowers of the Bank would be sanctioned against continuous security already mortgaged and charge created in favour of the Bank within available credit limit. In case the amount of fresh loan and outstanding balance of previous loan exceeds the charge already created in favour of the Bank additional charge in favour of the Bank would be arranged as per standing instructions of the Bank.
- The loan would be payable in lump sum through Current Deposit Account of the borrower.
- Lease land or land of family members can be accepted as development area as per standing instructions of the Bank.
- In case of delayed repayment for more than a month by the borrower under this scheme, a cut of 10% would be imposed in the amount of subsequent loan/activity. Such borrowers can be allowed additional development loan or enhanced limit of production loan after the expiry of currency period of the loan and establishment of good repayment behaviour by making timely repayment of the loan lastly availed.
- No cut on subsequent financing under the scheme will be imposed if repayment is delayed on account of natural calamity.

| Maximum Limit of Loan: |
Maximum loan of Rs.0.500 million per borrower/party as production loan for Farm credit or Non-Farm Credit or for both can be advanced in a season. |
| Repayment of Loan: |
- The loan to be advanced for Rabi Crops (to be disbursed from 1st October to 31st March) would be recoverable on 7th July and for Kharif Crops (to be disbursed from 1st April to 30th September) on 7th January with one month grace period.
- The loan for sugarcane would be repayable in two installments on 7th January and on 7th April as per standing instructions of the Bank with grace period of one month.
- Input loans for orchard to be advanced during Rabi Season would be recovered in one installment on next 7th January and like wise input loans for orchard to be advanced during Kharif Season would be due for recovery on next 7th July.
